Simon founded Jargon PR, the backbone of the Jargon Group in 2009 and ran all aspects of the company’s business until the appointment of Jargon PR’s new MD Kevin Winfield & Michael Bennett, the MD of GloHouse Media and Pelican Communications in 2022. Simon now focuses on Group expansion initiatives and strategic management issues working collaboratively with his executive team.
Today The Jargon Group works with a world-class portfolio of brands spanning ad:tech, cloud, mobile, big data, retail, fashion, sustainability, industrial manufacturing and automotive specialists.
Prior to The Jargon Group, Simon spent over a decade at three of the top five global agencies, WeberShandwick, Porter Novelli and Edelman.
As Non-Executive Chairman of The Jargon Group, Kevin’s role is to provide guidance and advice to the Group’s leadership team.
A former President of the UK’s Chartered Institute of PR, Kevin’s long and successful PR career included leading the Flotation media team at BT and heading PR for the launch of the company’s mobile business. At CCgroup he led the mobile industry business of the consultancy to its position as the ‘go-to’ firm for the sector.
After exiting CCgroup Kevin has worked independently delivering professional services and mentoring to IT companies and PR consultancies.
He is Chair of Industry Insights Group, a Trustee and Chair of Iprovision, the benevolent fund of the Chartered Institute, and is the Institute’s Regulatory Consultant providing advice to members on professional standards and ethical practice.
As COO of the Jargon Group, Chris’ role encompasses strategy and development of the Group across the UK and internationally.
Chris founded communications consultancy (XL Communications) in 2006 and led the business until its acquisition by the Jargon Group in 2023.
He has more than 25 years’ experience advising technology-based B2B and B2C companies in technology and has created and led PR and communications campaigns for some of the largest companies in the world including Intel, Kodak, Motorola, Toshiba, Nokia and Garmin as well as dozens of fast growing smaller businesses.
Kevin joined Jargon PR in 2012 and performed a number of roles within the business which led to him being appointed Managing Director in 2022.
He began his career as an Online Reporter following study for a Journalism degree at Southampton Solent University before switching disciplines and entering the PR consultancy market.
During his time with the Company, Kevin has played an integral role in business development, staff recruitment and client experience & service. He leads teams working across a large portfolio of B2B Technology clients operating in a broad range of sectors, including cloud, retail, UC and eCommerce.
Michael founded Pelican Communications in 1998 and run the business through until it became part of the Jargon Group in 2022 when he also assumed responsibility for the GloHouse Media team and its clients.
Based in Manchester, Michael and the team specialise in sustainability and ESG-focused integrated communications campaigns and over the last 24-years Pelican Communications has won multiple awards including ‘ESG Consultancy of the Year’ in the 2022 PRmoment Awards.
Michael works closely with clients to deliver communication strategies and advise brands on social and economic issues, responsible governance and brand reputation.
The Jargon Group is a proud supporter of Ecologi, a carbon reduction and tree planting specialist. Monthly donations on behalf of our client base invest into a broad range of projects that are reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Through Ecologi tree planting partners, who are able to responsibly plant trees each month on our community’s behalf, we have planted 5,000 trees in 2022 alone.
