The Jargon Group is made up of a number of subsidiary companies and assets owned directly by Simon Corbett.
The diversification of market niche and services enables the Jargon Group to realise certain holdings, reinvesting profits and proceeds from sales to support, develop and grow new and existing businesses.
Our success is measured through the growth of our people, profitable business growth and through our partnership with Ecologi, a carbon reduction and tree planting specialist. To date we have planted 5,000 trees removing over 365 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere.
Simon Corbett is the Founder of The Jargon Group.
As Founder, Simon started the business which is today led by Joint MD’s Kevin Winfield & Michael Bennett and Kirsty Sharpe who work together to manage the outstanding team of PR practitioners within the group.
Today The Jargon Group works with a world-class portfolio of brands spanning ad:tech, cloud, mobile, big data, retail, fashion, sustainability, industrial manufacturing and automotive specialists.
Prior to The Jargon Group, Corbett spent over a decade at three of the top five global agencies, WeberShandwick, Porter Novelli and Edelman. In early 2000 he launched and subsequently sold an online recruitment business and today owns several other businesses not connected to The Jargon Group.
Kevin Taylor is the Non-Executive Chairman of The Jargon Group providing guidance and advice to the leaders of the Group.
A former President of the UK’s Chartered Institute of PR, Kevin’s long and successful PR career included leading the Flotation media team at BT and heading PR for the launch of the company’s mobile business. At CCgroup he led the mobile industry business of the consultancy to its position as the ‘go-to’ firm for the sector.
After exiting CCgroup Kevin has worked independently delivering professional services and mentoring to IT companies and PR consultancies.
He is Chair of Industry Insights Group, a Trustee and Chair of Iprovision, the benevolent fund of the Chartered Institute, and is the Institute’s Regulatory Consultant providing advice to members on professional standards and ethical practice.

Following study for a Journalism degree at Southampton Solent University, Kevin began his career as an Online Reporter. He then switched disciplines and ultimately joined Jargon PR in 2012.
During his time with the Company, Kevin has played an integral role in company growth, recruitment and client services, leading a large portfolio of B2B Technology campaigns across a broad range of sectors, including cloud, retail, UC and eCommerce.
Kirsty is the founder of GloHouse Media and is a specialist in PR and marketing across engineering tech industries. Kirsty was the Managing Editor, AD & Bioresources News for eight years, before founding GloHouse Media in 2009. As the client strategy leader, Kirsty sets strategic direction to ensure her clients see outstanding levels of brand awareness and customer interest. Kirsty’s clientele are based in the packaging, processing and ad/biogas industries.
Michael is Joint Managing Director of GloHouse Media & Pelican Communications having founded Pelican Communications in 1998.
Based in Manchester, Michael and the team specialise in sustainability and ESG-focused integrated communications campaigns and over the last 24-years Pelican Communications has won multiple awards including ‘ESG Consultancy of the Year’ in the 2022 PRmoment Awards.
Michael works closely with clients to deliver communication strategies and advise brands on social and economic issues, responsible governance and brand reputation.
The Jargon Group is a proud supporter of Ecologi, a carbon reduction and tree planting specialist. Monthly donations on behalf of our client base invest into a broad range of projects that are reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Through Ecologi tree planting partners, who are able to responsibly plant trees each month on our community’s behalf, we have planted 5,000 trees in 2022 alone.
